Andrea Bocelli announces sole Canadian appearance in Hamilton

Renowned Italian tenor will perform at transformed Hamilton Arena on Dec. 9. Ticket sales begin April 1.
World-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will make his first appearance in Hamilton when he is among the very first to perform at the newly reopened Hamilton Arena on Dec. 9.
The Italian singer known for taking classical music to the top of the pop charts announced 2025 North American tour dates on Wednesday. Hamilton is the only Canadian date to be announced.
“The excitement is building for the new Hamilton Arena,” said Nick DeLuco, senior vice president and general manager of the venue, which is being developed and managed by Oak View Group.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andrea Bocelli, one of our generation’s most legendary performers, to Hamilton for the first time. With the recent announcement of the 2026 Juno Awards taking place at Hamilton Arena, our opening season is beginning to take shape as we blend world-class artistry with the revitalized energy of our venue.”

Presales begin Tuesday, April 1 and tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, April 7 at 10 a.m.
The tour will feature performances from Bocelli’s extensive repertoire, including selections from his recent No. 1 album A Family Christmas and his solo album Believe, along with arias, crossover hits, and love songs.
Bocelli has recorded 15 solo studio albums of pop and classical music, three greatest hits albums, and nine complete operas, selling nearly 90 million records worldwide. He has recorded duets with Luciano Pavarotti, Celine Dion, Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain and Chris Stapleton, and sold out concerts around the world.
He’s performed at many major events including the Olympic Games, the World Cup, royal weddings, and Global Citizen. He has earned a Golden Globe, seven Classical BRITs and seven World Music Awards, plus a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Bocelli is on a wide-ranging world tour and his 18-city North American tour begins June 10 in New Orleans and concludes Dec. 21 in Miami.
No formal date for the opening of Hamilton Arena has been announced. It is undergoing a $290-million transformation, adding restaurants, bars and concessions on all three levels, along with with premium suites and boxes and a range of new amenities for artists.
